Human Rights Act 1998 came into force in 2000. It was brought in to add protection to worker's rights in employment. Human Rights is applicable to all employers in the public sector and protects employees from things like discrimination against sexuality.
If the company isn't a public authority, you won’t be able to make a claim against your employer for a breach of your human rights. However, human rights and UK employment law has been integrated into general employment law and is now applicable to all employers, like the right not to be discriminated against because of your sexuality.
You have the right to a private life, this means you have the rights to some privacy in the workplace. You are unable to be monitored everywhere and if your employer doesn't allow this, they'll be breaching your human rights law (as well as United Kingdom law).
Everyone is entitled to the right not to be treated as a slave or made to take part in forced or compulsory work. However, this does not include, any military, community punishment or prison sentence.
It is always best to try and resolve the problem informally first but sometimes this is not possible to which you will then need to make a formal complaint. Once you have given Falconers Law all the relevant information required we can look at your case and distinguish what position you are in.
The results can vary from case to case as it depends on what the claim is for and what type of court action you take. You may be entitled to some financial compensation, but the court will decide what they think you should be compensated for and to what level.
